Misaki Kawai “Love From Mt. Pom Pom” Art Exhibition - The Children’s Museum of The Arts in New York City has invited internationally recognized Japanese artist Misaki Kawai to exhibit her work in the CMA gallery. Using mixed media, Misaki creates pieces following the concept of “heta-uma,” a Japanese manga style that is technically “bad”. The pieces, however, always turn out beautifully and help inspire both adults and young children to make their own art by following their instincts and not their drawing skills. The idea is that everyone can be an artist regardless of skill or technical ability.

Furry animals, banana chairs, a snake bench, an expandable “boobie” bench and much more are on display at the CMA from March 14th to June 10th.

The furniture, created by Misaki Kawaiand  Brooklyn’s Tri-Lox, is now for sale and up for bidding at Paddle8.com. Proceeds from the sale go to benefit the Children’s Museum of The Art.
