Cabbages & Kings Kids Knits - Brand-new, New York based brand Cabbages & Kings offers a premium line of unique and versatile knit scarves and leg/arm warmers for kids made for the conscious and environmentally aware. Inspired by her anthropological studies of the Andean Culture, designer Alexandra Gizela decided that the best place to get quality, traditional Peruvian hand-knits would be in the Andes themselves. Each fairly traded piece is made by the Sumaq Ruracc, a Quechua-speaking group that live in an Andean Valley in Peru. The Sumaq Ruracc work in collaboration with up of 14 community groups, churches and non-governmental organizations in hopes of empowering the locals, participating institutions and base communities.

The whimsical color combinations and patterned designs of Cabbages and Kings’ warmers evoke a sense of play suitable for the taste of parents and kids alike.
