New Hospital Toys by Hikaru Imamura - Artist Hikaru Imamura has created a series of hospital-inspired toys to help ease anxiety in children that need medical examination. The little simplified X-Ray, CT, echo-cardiograph and electrocardiograph machines light up, make sounds and display lil pictures that simulate real hospital situations. To boot, three basic characters have been developed to help kids understand their place when attending a hospital; a doctor, a parent bear and a primary-coloured child bear/patient. Although hospitals can be very confusing to children, Imamura believes that his work can help kids understand what’s happening and therefore make exams run much smoother for parent, doctor and child.
