Children in Need “Pudsey Bear” 2012 Designer Initiative - Pudsey Bear is the official mascot for Children in Need, the BBC’s corporate UK charity. This cute yellow, bandaged-bear has been the UK’s favourite and most recognizable mascot for almost 32 years. This year, to help raise awareness for his cause, Pudsey has lent himself to over 30 designers and fashion houses in order to receive a few serious makeovers.
Kate Spade New York, Burberry, Gucci, Vogue, Balenciaga, Jonathan Saunders, Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, Missoni, Pucci, Paul Smith, Victoria Beckham, DVF, and many many more have redesigned Pudsey and have readied him to be auctioned for his charity. The auction will take place on November 15th at Christie’s Auction House in London, however, you can check out the collection first hand at Selfridges London and Manchester stores until the 14th.
All the proceed will go to helping improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Visit designerpudsey.co.uk to pick your favorites and be sure to watch the 2012 BBC Children in Need Appeal Night this Friday, November 16th.
