Star Wars Episode 7 Announced for 2015 as Disney Buys Lucasfilm -Earlier today Disney announced that they have acquired George Lucas‘ Lucasfilm Ltd for $4.05 billion, in a deal that includes rights to the Star Wars franchise. The announcement has had a very polarized reaction from Star Wars fans who are either ecstatic about the new films or horribly disappointed by Mr. Lucas. We are personally looking forward to seeing what kind of Jedi Mind Tricks the Disney team have been readying for 2015. Maybe they will even cast Mickey Mouse as a real Jedi. lol.
Here is what George Lucas has to say about it:
For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next,” said Lucas. “It’s now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. I’ve always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime. I’m confident that with Lucasfilm under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy, and having a new home within the Disney organization, Star Wars will certainly live on and flourish for many generations to come. Disney’s reach and experience give Lucasfilm the opportunity to blaze new trails in film, television, interactive media, theme parks, live entertainment, and consumer products.
Angry Birds Star Wars - On November 8, the Angry Birds and Star Wars universes will collide, in Rovio’s “best game to date”. It’s been just over a week now since Rovio launched their new game Bad Piggies, yet Rovio twitted that their most exciting news as of late is not the launch of Bad Piggies but the announcement of their Angry Bird Star Wars game. I guess it is their “baby”.

Star Wars 1313 Gameplay Trailer - LucasArts and IGN have released the debut gameplay trailer for the upcoming Star Wars 1313 video game. Although there is no rating yet, IGN’s game description (below) allows us to speculate that young Star Wars fans might have to wait till their teenagehood to delve into this one.
Named for Level 1313, a ruthless criminal underground deep below the surface of the planet of Coruscant, Star Wars 1313 puts players in control of a deadly bounty hunter as he uses an arsenal of exotic weaponry to hunt down his marks and uncover the truth surrounding a criminal conspiracy. Star Wars 1313 emphasizes epic set pieces and fast-paced combat with a hero who uses human skills and gadgets, rather than supernatural Force powers, to make his way through this dangerous world.
Star Wars Head Shape Tin Lunch Boxes - I hate to say it, but kids, it’s almost time to start thinking about going back to school. Different designs have been popping up all over the interweb, however the instructions on Matters of Grey and Anthony Herrera Designs are the most concise. Let your kids pick their favorite characters, but you should do the cutting as you’ll need an x-acto knife for the inner details.
2012 LEGO Star Wars Planet Sets - LEGO has announced that in 2012 they will be releasing a collection of small collectable Star Wars Planet Set. For example, in Series 1 (seen above) you will find a Naboo Starfighter inside the Naboo Planet, a TIE Interceptor in the Death Star and Sebulba’s Podracer inside Planet Tatooine. Each planet also has a small loop so they can be hung from the ceiling or maybe off (next years) Christmas tree.
These great little carry-along toys will be fun for long car rides and a perfect addition to an already huge Star Wars LEGO collection.
