Lanvin & Alber Elbaz Create A Dress for Minnie Mouse - Alber Elbaz has created a custom-made Lanvin dress for Disney’s Minnie Mouse to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris. Elbaz’s inspiration stems from Minnie’s love of colours, jewelry and everything sparkly. In his opinion, Minnie is a true fashionista!
For Mr. Elbaz this project represents a sort-of “fantasy-meets-reality” that allowed child-like naivety and purity into his work instead of the usual “glossy” fashion stuff.
The final product, a lovely electric-blue evening gown decorated with all sorts of sparkling tidbits and topped off with a ruby red crown; absolutely fitting to Minnie’s happy personality.
For Minnie and Alber Elbaz, dreams really do come true!

Petit Bateau x Carven Capsule Collection - French high-quality, casual, clothing brand, Petit Bateau, has teamed up with French, haute couture fashion house, Carven, to create a small collection of beautiful and ready-to-wear garments for children and their parents. The capsule range boasts nine styles including a smocked t-shirt dress with a white collar, a dickey and a boy’s polo shirt.
Finger In The Nose Spring/Summer 2012 - One of our absolute favourite high end kidswear brands has released their SS12 range and it’s just as epic as we had imagined.
First and foremost, FITN was invited by iconic sunglasses brand, Vuarnet, to revisit a couple of their more popular models for this collection. The ever popular Cateye and Surfer sunglasses have been scaled down for smaller faces but still boast the impeccable protective lenses and high end materials used by the original Vuarnet models. Each model is available in Ivory, Grey, Black and two tortoise shades.
As for clothing, the brand honored their formula by producing a range that is a bit Rock & Roll but also simple and clever. This seasons collection is organized under three general categories which encompass the Hollywood Hills look, the Surfari look and the Little Harbor look. Each is well designed and could easily be intermingled so whether you pick a pair of coloured jeans, an animal print t-shirt, a safari style shirt or a multicolored jumpsuit your kid is going to look rad. En plus, every piece in the collection looks like it could be your kids favourite, making it maybe too easy to do all your shopping at one store.
See the entire collection and browse some of our favourite SS looks at fingerinthenose.com or stop by the shop on rue de Saintonge in Paris.
Bonpoint Fall/Winter 2011 Collection - In 1975, Marie-France Cohen created the first Parisian children’s clothing house. Now, over 30 years later, Bonpoint is still dressing children in smart, chic, refined and perfectly cut clothing. The FW11 collection is as classic and as cool as ever.
Look for fine wool suit jackets, cashmere winter hats or sweaters, motorcycle boots, nice wooly mittens, merino wool cardigans, a nice selection of ski jackets and great plaid pieces. Not to mention everything else that you wished you had in your closet when you were a kid. Shopping for classic “hip” back to school clothes could not be any easier than looking through the Bonpoint collection. You’re going to love it!
