The Lil List: Here is a list of upcoming summer films that we thought you and your kids/tweens might enjoy.
Snow White and The Huntsman - In a twist to the OG fairy tale, the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth), ordered to take Snow White (Kristen Stewart) into the woods to be killed, winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron). Rated PG-13
Moonrise Kingdom - The story, which takes place in New England in the 60s, is based around two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a pact, and run away together into the wilderness. Featuring many big name Hollywood stars like Billy Murray, Bruce Willas, Edward Norton and more. Rated PG-13
Brave - “Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.” Rated PG
The Amazing Spider-Man - Trying to find out the truth about his parents is the one thing that has been hunting Peter Parker his entire life. Watch as Spider Man, played by Andrew Garfield, does whatever it takes to understand his parents disappearance including meeting Dr. Curt Connors, his father’s former partner and a true supervillain. Rated PG-13
ParaNorman - “A misunderstood boy who can speak with the dead, takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse.” Rated PG
Batman: The Dark Knight Rises - “Eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face’s crimes, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham’s finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.” Rated PG-13
